I want your experience of my work to be the best, and that includes the way that I charge. Here's what you need to know.

 

• My hourly rate is £35 per hour.  More complex work, such as laying flooring, tiling or plastering will be charged at a higher rate, but I will let you know about that when quoting for the job.

• I charge for my time, plus materials. I am not registered for VAT so you will only be charged for the VAT levied on materials. Materials are recharged at cost.  Parking fees and permits will be recharged

• I may ask you to pay for your materials upfront

• If a job becomes more complex due to factors I couldn't reasonably foresee that would entail extra time, material and costs, I'll discuss that with you straight away, so we can agree the best way forward

• For long jobs I will invoice on a weekly basis

• I won't charge for travel to/from your home within a 10 mile radius of Lewes. Beyond that, my time starts when I set off.

• I can occasionally do small jobs (for a minimum charge of 1 hour), but for a bundle of jobs I will charge a day rate.

• I normally work Monday to Friday, between 8.30am-4pm.  

• I may be able to help in an emergency (weekends, evenings, Bank Holiday) but I will charge £60/hour with a minimum fee of £60

• I will give you an estimate before I begin the work. You'll need to accept that in writing, (email or text is fine) before I begin

• I accept cheques, cash or bank transfers.
